8 savoury brunch recipes
Syrup-laden pancakes and waffles are wonderful, but any good brunch has some savoury options, too.
Choose one or two savoury main dishes, add an assortment of fruit and some fresh bread or scones and you’ll have a brunch spread fit for a queen.
Broccoli and Ham Cakes with Cheese Sauce
Both the pancakes and the velvety cheese sauce in this recipe can be made in advance and reheated at the last minute. Change up the cheese for a different flavour— smoked Cheddar is a favourite in The Test Kitchen!

The Ultimate Crêpes
Crêpes are so versatile! Make them in advance, then roll them up with your favourite savoury fillings. (Think sautéed mushrooms, ham, asparagus, cheese or cheese sauce.) For a fun presentation, stack them with fillings, instead of rolling or folding, like we did for our clubhouse version.

Gruyère and Bacon Quiche

Tomato and Feta Baked Eggs
Also known as shakshuka, tomato-baked eggs are very simple to put together and an instant sophisticated hit at any brunch. For an effortless get-together, serve these eggs with a simple green salad and some crusty baguette for soaking up all the sauce.

Herbed Salmon and Potato Frittata
No brunch is complete without a frittata. They’re equally delicious hot or cold and endlessly versatile. We particularly love this combination of smoked salmon, new potatoes, creamy sour cream and garden-fresh dill.
