Cocktail recipes perfect for brunch
No matter what you’re celebrating, every brunch needs a tasty punch or cocktail to get things going. Having a signature drink for your event is not only a fun way to add personality to your menu, but it’s also a less expensive alternative to having
multiple types of drinks on hand for your guests. All you need to do is pick your punch flavours based on the season!
Cherry-Lime Cooler
This chilled-out drink is a deliciously refreshing option for anyone who doesn’t drink alcohol. For those of you wanting a spiked version, just add a splash of vodka!

Mango Bellini
Swap peach purée for mango for a creative twist on the original Italian cocktail. Frozen mango lends an icy, slushy texture, which adds a bit of luxury to this already-special drink.

Sparkling Mojito
If you love a fresh, minty mojito, you’ll love this sparkling take on the original. The sparkling wine adds a bit of whimsy that makes it perfect for a brunch.

Peach Tea
If you have time, a cold-brewed ice tea is even more delicious than one made with hot tea. Just let the tea bags steep in cold water (instead of boiling) overnight in the fridge. The result is mellow, flavourful and not at all bitter—a perfect complement to sweet peaches and fresh mint.

Rhubarb Mint Fizz
When rhubarb is in season, it all comes at once—and you’re left scrambling to find ways to use it before it gets woody. What better way to use up the harvest than with this sophisticated pretty-in-pink cocktail? The rhubarb syrup freezes well, if you’d like to double it for future use.

Frizzante Tropicale
This fizzy drink packs a punch! If you prefer a virgin cocktail, simply replace the rum with any tropical-fruit nectar, (try soursop!) and the sparkling wine with sparkling water.

Gin Chiller
Gin lovers will adore this herbal yet fruity beverage. If you’re feeling adventurous and want to increase the herbal notes of the gin, try muddling a few sprigs of fresh basil or mint in your cocktail shaker before adding the ice and liquid.

Best Caesar
A Bloody Caesar is a perennial Canadian brunch favourite for good reason: The bold spicy flavours wake up your tastebuds! Try your own signature garnish or a mixture of a couple of options, such as pickled green beans, asparagus, cocktail onions, cooked jumbo shrimp or even bacon-wrapped scallops. Let your imagination be your guide.
Macuá
This Nicaraguan cocktail is a fun take on rum punch, and it’s the perfect pairing for a getaway-themed brunch. Expand on the theme by serving a big platter of tropical fruit alongside.
Lime Squash
If you’re looking for a nonalcoholic option for your brunch, this tangy-sweet honey-scented twist on limeade couldn’t be easier. The more pungent the honey you use, the more floral the final product will be, so consider that when choosing your honey.
