Method
In saucepan, stir together cider, ginger, apple and orange slices, cloves, cinnamon and maple syrup; bring to boil. Reduce heat to medium-low; simmer, stirring occasionally, about 10 minutes. Remove pan from heat and let stand for 5 minutes. Strain hot cider; discard solids. Divide liquid among mugs. Garnish with cinnamon sticks and apple slices, if desired. Serve immediately.
