File this toner under cult status. I’ve been using Glow Tonic for years but if toner isn’t something in your skin care routine, fall is the perfect time to start. It gently accelerates cell renewal to reveal a brighter, glowing complexion. Which is perfect after months exposing skin to UV rays. This one is alcohol free, refines the appearance of pores and gives you an uptick of radiance. - Julia McEwen, fashion and beauty director

I am very on board the animal print trend of fall 2018. Despite notions that this pattern might be for the bold dresser, leopard print is easy to wear and can even act as a neutral in your wardrobe. If you’re really unsure, opt for accessories like leopard print shoes or purses, but if you’re ready to get in on the trend in a bigger way, this blouse is the perfect gateway. It’s a simple silhouette, a great small-scale pattern and will look just as good tucked into fitted pencil skirts as it will oversized and untucked over skinny jeans. - Alexandra Donaldson, fashion and beauty editor
My summer glow is disappearing—actually, I don’t think I ever had one. Regardless, my complexion is in need of a pop of colour. I’m reaching for this lip and cheek stick, which is super hydrating and French girl-approved—I learned about it from famed makeup artist Violette, as she uses it in one of her YouTube videos. The shade “Perk” is great for us super pale girls. - Renée Reardin, senior digital editor

This pouch has been the answer to housing all my everyday beauty essentials (ie. lip balm, sunscreen, face mist) without taking up too much real estate in my bag. It’s actually meant to be a pencil case but the green and gold leaves and rose gold zipper make it super stylish enough for anything—plus it’s currently on sale at only $12.50! - Linda Contrina, web producer
Large Pencil Pouch-Falling Leaves, $12.50, indigo.ca.

The ultimate in transitional foot wear is a white or light bootie. Personally, I find stark white difficult to wear but more importantly near impossible to keep looking pristine. However bone or beige is a great compromise. Wear it with bear legs and a midi skirt or white culottes and you have yourself a strong, powerful and fashion forward combo. - JM

This summer, I’ve had the best skin of my life. It’s due in part to sticking with a skin-care regime (instead of switching it up every two days in favour of trying new products), but I also think it has something to do with Cosrx BHA Blackhead Power Liquid. Although it’s geared towards those with congested or acne skin (I definitely suffer from hormonal breakouts), it’s actually a great acid product to incorporate even if you’re more concerned about things like skin texture and exfoliation. The bottom line is, I haven’t had a breakout (hormonal or otherwise) all summer and my skin texture has never been better. You better believe I’ll be stocking up on this wonder product. - AD

As the temps drop, so does the moisture in our skin. I’m addressing my dry skin before it becomes an issue by stocking up on my favourite super-hydrating cream and slathering it on every night from tonight on. - RR

I’m not one for fragrances (thanks allergies), but I’ll admit that when Calvin Klein’s new fragrance landed on my desk, I was immediately hooked on the packaging, smell and overall message—celebrating the multifaceted identity of women. The lovely blend of delicate orange flower petals, fresh eucalyptus acorns and rich Alaskan cedar wood makes it the perfect scent for people like me who only tend to wear fragrances on special occasions. - LC

One category of beauty that I struggle to get excited about is body products, especially body wash. It’s usually pretty basic and not very innovative, so I find it hard to feel the desire to gush about. That is until I tried Olay’s new Foaming Body Wash. It has both foam and whip in its name but it is far more of a whip than a foam. It dispenses easily—I liken it to a mix between shaving cream and whip cream—and it also has good staying power, as it grabs on to whatever body part you put it. My skin felt cleansed, lightly scented and even a little smoother, especially when I went off label and used it as a shaving foam a few times. - JM

With fall on its way you can bet I’ll be living in sneakers, loafers and ankle booties—which is why having a few great pairs of discreet socks are a must. The ones by Stance are a must-have. They’re cute, but more importantly they stay put. So you don’t have to worry about reaching into your shoe to fix your slipping sock. - AD

Ok. I admit it. I drank the Kool Aid. This summer was my first reunion with a “fanny pack” in over two decades and it was a game changer. At first, its resurgence into fashion’s favour was confusing and kind of shook me. But after a month of embracing it—I’m here for it! They’re extremely functional and you don’t just have to wear them on your waist, you can sling one across your chest. - JM

It never quite feels like fall to me unless I’ve picked up a new pair of sneakers—must be leftover feelings from my middle school days. Though I have to say there are plenty more stylish options now then there was then. Take this rich-toned option from Aldo for example. It’s a simple nostalgic style made even butter by a great fall-inspired colour palette and some mixed finished. While I’d like to say I’d keep these to my weekend brunch attire, the truth is you might find me rocking these with a pair of trousers and a button down at the office too. - AD

Leopard print is on the prowl for fall 2018, but it never really went away. It’s been around for decades but some season’s we see small hits while others it's full on. This fall it’s somewhere in-between. I love this simple fitted sheer spotted top because it’s a great piece for layering. Wear it under a black slip dress or with a tailored pant suit, its styling potential is truly endless. - JM
