Under $100: Best fashion and beauty buys for October
Fall is officially here so we're thinking about transitional skin care and transitional fashion to keep us looking and feeling great.
Mighty Mask
I’m always after masks that have potent ingredients and lean to the more natural end of the beauty spectrum. Which is why I’m excited that Dr. Roebuck’s, a natural brand from Australia, has rebranded and is back at Shoppers Drug Mart. This brightly coloured mask includes turmeric (which is anti-inflammatory), Manuka honey (reduces redness, helps congested skin) and avocado oil (super nourishing) to help hydrate your skin and impart a healthy glow. —Alexandra Donaldson, fashion and beauty editor

Parisian Cool
It's officially hat season and I'm excited to bust out my latest find from Forever21's Disney collection. This wool-blend red beret has got French-girl chic written all over it and features an embroidered Mickey Mouse patch, one of my favourite Disney characters. —Linda Cotrina, web producer

Mighty Moisture
It can be hard to find a body lotion that has both a clean ingredient list and doesn’t cost an arm and a leg, which is why it’s easy to default to more accessible options—even if they contain things you’d rather not put on your skin like mineral oil. The most accessible option for me is Consonant’s Body Lotion, which is an affordable alternative to the $100 organic and natural creams you often see. It’s quick-absorbing, actually feels moisturizing and at $27 it may not be cheap, but it’s also not going to break the bank. Plus, Consonant is a Canadian brand that I love to support. —AD
