I’m always after masks that have potent ingredients and lean to the more natural end of the beauty spectrum. Which is why I’m excited that Dr. Roebuck’s, a natural brand from Australia, has rebranded and is back at Shoppers Drug Mart. Parisian Cool

Mighty Moisture

It can be hard to find a body lotion that has both a clean ingredient list and doesn’t cost an arm and a leg, which is why it’s easy to default to more accessible options—even if they contain things you’d rather not put on your skin like mineral oil. The most accessible option for me is Consonant’s Body Lotion, which is an affordable alternative to the $100 organic and natural creams you often see. It’s quick-absorbing, actually feels moisturizing and at $27 it may not be cheap, but it’s also not going to break the bank. Plus, Consonant is a Canadian brand that I love to support. —AD

Sleek steppers

As I prepare to swap my mules for booties, I'm working on upping my fall boot lineup. This maroon pair from Mango will add a hit of warm colour to my wardrobe. Trouser Time

I pretty much live in denim, which I know is a luxury that the causal nature of my workplace afford me—I definitely take advantage of it. This fall, I’d like to think outside the denim-clad box and start to embrace trousers. I’ll likely still wear them with t-shirts, cozy knits and sneakers, but there’s no doubt that a good trouser can make you look instantly more polished. To start, I’ll be picking up these subtle herringbone pants with a drawstring waist. Flushed

As the weather begins to get a bit cooler, I find myself ditching eye makeup and lipstick in favour of a bare face defined by a flush of colour. Something about a pink cheek just sort of makes me feel cozy when the temperature dips. I usually opt for a cream blush, which seems to blend seamlessly into my cheeks, and the key for me is to find something much more pink then I usually pick. This option from Bite Beauty in Lotus (from another Canadian brand) is my pick, but the great thing about pink blush is that it exists at all sorts of price points and formula types. The finishing touch

Anyone who knows me knows that If it's one thing I love more than anything else it's jewellery. Oil slick

Now that the cold, dry winds are coming in, I have to try extra hard to prevent my skin from getting dehydrated, and I feel like that starts with my face cleanser. Getting Groovy

A tie-dye turtleneck isn’t exactly on the list of things I need. But, I’m finding this pick surprisingly chic. I think it’s going to look great paired with high-waisted denim and angle boots, under blazers and crew-neck sweaters and even layered with sleeveless shift dresses to extend them into fall. Who knew something so novelty would be so versatile?
