The Fashion Trends We’re Watching For In 2024
It’s already that time of the year — spring 2024 fashion trends are taking over the sidewalks.
Some of our favourite pieces from 2023 will unfortunately be replaced by new ones for 2024. It's up to you to decide whether you want to take the plunge and follow the trends or stick with the existing favourites in your wardrobe.
But just who is picking these trends and deciding on our wardrobes? Stylight, an online shopping platform based in France, has analyzed the behaviour of its 120 million users across all of its social platforms to come up with the results..
Here are the 7 major trends that will take over the fashion scene in 2024:
1. Red is hot
The year 2023 put pink back on the map, thanks to the Barbie movie sensation. It was everywhere: clothes, fashion accessories, kitchen accessories, home decor and more. Its rise in popularity was as quick as its decline. Pink is gradually being replaced by red at the end of 2023. Red, a colour that evokes sexuality, passion and excitement, is both timeless and bold. Get ready to add it into your wardrobe if you haven't already!

2. Biker boots will dethrone cowboy boots
Everyone we know bought a pair of cowboy boots in 2023! This shoe has come back with a vengeance, and not just for country music festivals and Nashville getaways. In 2024, however, it’s all about biker boots, which started taking over as THE trendiest pair of boots for autumn. The style is more robust and striking and adds an edgy touch to any outfit.

3. Slingback kitten heels
After moccasins and ballet flats, it’s high time we move on to slingback kitten heels. They're a versatile pair of shoes that can be worn with a wide range of outfits, from smart to casual. That's one of the reasons why investing in your own pair of slingback heels in 2024 is a wise choice!

4. Minimalist and low-top sneakers
In recent years, we've seen a rise in what is commonly referred to as “dad shoes,” like the sneakers from Nike and New Balance. In 2024, we're making way for low-top, low profile sneakers, like Sambas from Adidas. We love how they work great with a casual pair of jeans, or even trousers for a laid-back office outfit!

5. Baggy jeans are making a comeback
Although cargo pants were all the rage in 2023, 2024 sees baggy jeans dethroning them. Offering unrivalled comfort and style, these pants are a must-have in any wardrobe.

6. Maxi denim skirts are here to stay

7. Off-the-shoulder tops
