The Canadian Olympic outfits for 2018 have been revealed
Team Canada athletes will wear the collection for the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic games.
Canadian retailer Hudson's Bay gave us a glimpse of the Team Canada collection that athletes will wear in the upcoming Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018.
The outfits—no surprise—were predominantly red, and featured another Canadian fashion staple, a buffalo check. "Hudson's Bay has again delivered an iconic Canadian design for the PyeongChang 2018 Winter Games," says Chris Overholt, CEO & Secretary General of the Canadian Olympic Committee. "Our Canadian Olympic Team will be outfitted in a uniform that will be the envy of the world."
To date, HBC has raised more than $41 million from the sale of the brand's iconic red mitten, which goes to fund the Canadian Olympic Foundation. This helps to provide access to coaching, equipment, sports medicine, nutrition and other resources to prep our athletes for the games. "We are excited to unveil this new collection today and to launch the 9th edition of our now iconic red mittens," says Alison Coville, President of Hudson's Bay. "Wearing the mittens is a fun and easy way for Canadians to show their support for Team Canada."
The collection, which is available online at thebay.com and at all Hudson's Bay locations across Canada, is available beginning in October and prices range from $10 (for some accessories) to $225 for select outerwear.
