How to wear three of the most popular summer trends
It’s strange how wearing less can sometimes feel more complicated. Have you been keen on incorporating a few of summer’s blockbuster trends (such as bold ruffles, bodysuits or culottes) in your wardrobe rotation? We’re here to walking you through three trendy “must-haves” to get you through warmer months.
Question: Can I pull off a bodysuit?
Answer: First of all, yes of course! The bodysuit has been going strong for the last few seasons and these fitted toppers offer an undeniable cool factor when paired with pretty much anything. Another plus, they create no bulk around the waist, making it an ideal tucking-in piece. So now you know what to pair with that fitted linen pencil skirt you bought last summer.

Question: Can I pull off bold ruffles?
Answer: Summertime and ruffles are as good a match as peanut butter and jelly. Adding feminine flourishes is one trend that is both easy-to-wear and here to stay. Whether it is a simple ruffle-trimmed neckline on a blouse or knit, or the flouncy tired ruffles on a hemline, the ruffle transforms a classic piece into something fun and flirty. If you go full on ruffle on the top half of your outfit, keep the bottom streamlined. The same adage is true if you go full on waves on the bottom, keep the top half fitted for balance.

Question: Can I pull off culottes?
Answer: Feeling nervous about stepping into a pair of knee-length trousers? We don’t blame you. At first glance, these super-wide-legged cropped pants look tricky to pull off, but they’re surprisingly wearable. The best styling trick we’ve learned about these wide pants: Think of them as a midi skirt when you’re creating an outfit around them. If the pants aren't hitting you at the sweet spot—where your calf starts to thin out—get them hemmed to the appropriate length. It will make all the difference! Worried you're too short? If you're of average height or shorter, your footwear options become limited. A well-heeled pair of shoes is a must. To further lengthen your frame in these shapely trousers, stick with one colour or tone. Finally, because these pants give your bottom half some serious volume, keep your choice of top simple and tailored.
