Easy nail art: Striped nails
The mani: Remark nicknamed this look, featuring fiery shades such as Essie’s Peach Side Babe and Sunset Sneaks, the vertical gradient manicure. Worried about nail art because you have short nail beds? No problem, says Remark: “The stripes make nails look longer.”
Step 1: Remark began with two coats of Essie’s Private Weekend, a shimmery white. When layering colour, always start with the lightest shade.
Step 2: Using a striping brush or your polish brush (ensure that it’s a thinner style of brush), draw two straight lines, leaving a white stripe in the middle. Remark used Essie’s Peach Side Babe, a creamy pastel coral.
Step 3: Finish with two stripes of Essie’s Sunset Sneaks on the outer edges. “This fills in the gap and completes the gradient,” says Remark.
