This summer, things are getting decidedly more pronounced in the lipstick department. We've picked the brightest and boldest shades that are totally swipe-worthy.
The three hues that are getting us excited for lipstick this summer? Bright pink, deep red and saturated orange.
Bubblegum pink
Brighten you look—and your mood—with a rosy pout. Flattering on all skin tones, the optimistic hue gives enough oomph that you won't need any other makeup. Steer clear of looking too young by opting for a matter or opaque finish—nothing overly glossy.
Red my lips
Nude lipstick is still going strong, but during the runway shows, the classic saturated lip ruled. The shade to know this season: candy apple. Keep it looking fresh for summer with a satin, glossy or patent texture.
Orange punch
If you're a die-hard nude wearer, orange lipstick is a stretch—but don't write it off. Find a shade that's in synch with your skin tone: If you're pale opt for bright orange; those with olive skin can pull off neon; and deeper skin tones look best with a red-orange lip. Still not sold on orange? Try a sheer gloss.
