I picked up this tip years ago but it was reiterated to me last week during a trip to Spa Ritual on King St. West from the lovely and talented hairstylist Vivian Suk-Ying Ng. [caption id="attachment_2348" align="aligncenter" width="241" caption="Bumble & Bumble Surf Spray"] [/caption] The tip was: If you have wavy or curly hair, do not wash it everyday. Even if you're one of those people who craves the feeling of freshly washed hair (like me). Obviously curly-haired femmes know this, but I find this particularly helpful for those who have very fine yet wavy hair (uh, me again). Instead of washing, do a quick rinse while you're showering and then spritz with a salt spray. Coax a few curls out by spinning hair around your index finger and you're home free. One of my faves is cult classic Bumble & Bumble Surf Spray ($23), as seen above. I've relied on this trick multiple times this spring and miraculously enough, it actually works BETTER when the humidity is higher. And if you're on the frizzy side, don't fret—the unkempt thing totally works in your favour with this look.  So, your pits may be unhappy, but at least you'll be having a good hair day.
