Matthew McConaughey just keeps livin' (in style)
Back in January, when I went to see
Dallas Buyers Club in theatres, now Oscar-winning Best Actor Matthew McConaughey came up in discussion. "He's a hippie," my friend commented. "Why?" I asked. "Whenever I see him, he's shirtless on a beach and wearing a bandana." She's right. He is often unclothed from the waist up. But he's far too athletic to be considered a hippie. He does, however, encompass the laidback demeanor of a one, and he has accurately reflected that in the clothing line he unveiled last month. Launched in collaboration with Grand National Apparel Inc., a Canadian private label manufacturer, and entitled Just Keep Livin' or JKL, the collection entails a range of casual wear, including hats, flip flops and—surprise, surprise—T-shirts. One of those T-shirts has been made very popular and highly sought-after by McConaughey's acceptance speech at the 86th annual Academy Awards. If you watched this year's Oscars, you'll remember this little gem: "All right, all right, all right. This was unexpected, but graciously accepted," he began. Oh, Matthew. How very JKL of you. Interested in channeling your own (or your beau's) inner Matty? "Alright, Alright, Alright" catchphrase T-shirts are available at Sears.
Alright, Alright, Alright T-shirt, $25, available by calling 1-800-26-SEARS or visiting sears.ca.
