Fashion news: Mackage debuts handbag line at WMCFW
Last night at
World MasterCard Fashion Week, beloved Montreal-based luxury outerwear label
Mackage unveiled their fall/winter 2013 collection, along with their newest offering: handbags. The reviews from the fashion-minded attendees involved nothing but warm and fuzzy feelings toward the carryalls. [caption id="attachment_9016" align="aligncenter" width="447"]

Designers Eran Elfassy and Elisa Dahan have incorporated the brand's trademark mixed media elements into their bags, using both hard and soft materials. While the palette is mostly neutrals with hits of cobalt, oxblood and orange, the styles are diverse and include cross-body bags, backpacks, satchels and chunky totes. As for the clothes? Fierce. I try to use that word sparingly, but it's the proper adjective to describe this moody collection. A custom-built patent leather–esque runway paired with blasting repetitive beats set the tone for the models who walked with a purpose sporting head-to-toe leather. Even the dudes.
