Editor's pick: Essie Sleek Stick nail collection
I want to be the kind of woman who always has pristine nails. I also want a pony, but I know that ain't happening anytime soon. At least I've finally found solutions to my mani woes. Nail stickers! These might seem juvenile but trust me, any age and ability can wear them and I'm officially obsessed. My most recent favourites come from the nail pros at
Essie. [caption id="attachment_8304" align="aligncenter" width="237"]
Essie Sleek Sticks in Glam It On[/caption] Their Sleek Stick collection has a variety of 3-D patterns and textures that are not only wearable but last for up to 14 days. I wore the Glam It On nails (seen above) and got stopped no less than ten times by women asking me how I did my nails. They take no time at all to apply (hello, no drying time) and when they start to chip or you're tired of the pattern you can easily peel them off to start fresh.
How do you use them? 1. File your nails. 2. Choose the right size for your nail bed. (They come in multiple size options). 3. Stick on the pattern of your choice. 4. File off the excess. 5. Head straight to dinner, dancing or what have you. There's no drying time. The pros recommend waiting an hour or two to let the sticks adhere before getting your hands wet but I didn't and they were just fine. You can use a top coat if you like but again, too much maintenance for me. (*Also, their PR rep told me you can wear them for a night and then reapply them for your next big occasion. I have yet to do this but definitely trying it out if I can part from them once I've applied them!)
