Our Canada: Fredericton, N.B.

I want to brag about my hometown, Fredericton, New Brunswick. Here are a few things I want visitors to know and appreciate about our beautiful community:

We have the beautiful Saint John river flowing through our city, with kilometres of trails to explore alongside it. (Insider tip: the best view is from the Bill Thorpe Walking Bridge.)

Our festivals! Shivering Songs, The N.B. Spirits Festival, Frostival, Picaroon’s Brewer’s Bash, The Harvest Jazz and Blues Festival, and so many more! The city comes alive with pride during these events, and visitors must try and attend at least some of these when they stop by.

Our amazing architecture. We're surrounded by it! The public buildings, private homes, churches and cathedrals are beautiful. We’re spoiled! Worth checking out: Christ Church Cathedral, for its beauty, history and community significance.

When you visit you have to stop by the W.W. Boyce Farmer’s Market on Saturday morning. Grab an orange Juice from Dalton’s and a lobster roll from Cap’n Mike. You should also try the Lemon Meringue Salmon at the Palate Restaurant! (Honestly, it's so, so delicious!) Tell Ken I sent you!
