6 cozy date ideas to try this autumn
Fall means pumpkin-spiced everything and plaid everywhere—up your dating game to match the cozy vibes.
With all of its colourful foliage and gloomy skies, fall can easily be considered the most romantic season. Now's the time for matching sweaters, long walks, and cozy evenings cuddled up at home.
If you’re looking to up the romantic vibes, here are some date ideas that you and your partner can do:
1. Harvest (then bake) a dessert
With so many wonderful fruits and vegetables (finally) in season, there is no shortage of delicious choices. Try heading out to a nearby apple orchard for a day of picking with your partner. Then head home to bake an apple pie from scratch (or use pre-made dough—we won't tell!).
2. Have a scary movie night

Fall means Halloween, and therefore, spooky season. If you’re into adrenaline and heightened senses (while staying firmly on your couch), pick your favourite scary movies, make some popcorn, turn off the lights, and get ready for an evening of fun. Needless to say, this is also a great opportunity to hold hands and snuggle up to each other.
3. Go hiking
Fall is yet another great opportunity to see some beautiful scenery and, luckily, we are Canada offers an abundance of it. Depending on where you live and what you’re looking for, you can either drive out or hop on your bike and visit one of the many beautiful areas with fall foliage. Spending time with your loved one in nature is an opportunity to bond and be yourself.
4. Carve pumpkins

Take a trip to your nearest pumpkin patch and then plan an evening of carving. You can set a fun theme or even spice it up by making it into a friendly competition with your other half.
5. Take a cooking class
If the outdoors are not exactly your couple’s cup of tea, try something different like learning a new skill—or recipe, in this case. Most cities offer cooking classes, and you just have to find one that suits your interests and schedules. Not only will it be fun, but you'll be able to add a new recipe to your weekly menu.
6. Visit a haunted house

In the same vein as watching a scary movie, visiting a haunted house is a guaranteed adrenaline rush. Get in the spirit of Halloween by picking a haunted house near you and plan a visit on your next date night. Good (and spooky) times ahead!
