Your choice of lodges on Algonquin Park: comfortable digs, colourful surroundings I've received several inquiries prompted by two of our recent online slideshows devoted to Canadian road trips during the fall-colour change season, one along the Cabot Trail in Cape Breton, and the other on road-tripping through Algonquin Park during fall foliage season. Several of you have asked lodge stays in Algonquin Park. For this question, I turn to the pros: The Friends of Algonquin Park, a non-profit group driven by people who are  passionate (and smart) about Algonquin Park. I've long thought of them as stewards of one of Canada's biggest natural treasures. There are three lodges right in Algonquin Park which are approved by Ontario Parks: Arowhon Pines Resort, Bartlett Lodge and Killarney Lodge. Here they are: 1. Arowhon Pines Resort   2. Bartlett Lodge   3. Killarney Lodge   Note: these lodges close up for bookings at various points in the fall. The sooner you book, the better!
