The 4th Canadian Living Sex Survey: Where Canadians are doing it
As
Canadian Living's relationships web editor, I'm always tasked with the awesome job of compiling the
results from our annual Sex Survey. This year was especially significant because we had over 7,000 people across the nation fill it out. That's a pretty big number, when you think about it. From daily sexual habits to funny quips and interesting pick-up lines, Canadians shared details about what's happening between the sheets -- including where they're doing it!
Last year, the highlight of this question happened when over half our participants said they enjoyed a good romp in the kitchen. This year, that number is up to 63% -- good to know what starts in the bedroom doesn't necessarily stay in the bedroom. We also asked Canadians to share other places where they've done it (or still do it, rather). And the results speak, Canada: We may have a lot of snow and chilly temperatures, but we're far from the cold and prickly sort. Here's a province-by-province break-down of where people who took our survey have admittedly done the good deed:
Alberta “In a truck, driving down the highway.” “In a dental chair.” “In a lake. It doesn’t work, FYI.”
British Columbia “In the library.” “In a Walmart change room.” “On a trampoline.”
Manitoba “Grandma’s house.” “In a barn.” “On the floor of a movie theatre.”
New Brunswick “In a cave when the tide was out.” “On top of a lawn tractor.” “In the basement, on top of a freezer.”
Newfoundland & Labrador “On my neighbour’s deck.” “The parking lot of a senior citizens complex.” “In a camp trailer.”
Northwest Territories “In the wrong cabin.” “In the library.” “Around midnight on playground equipment.”
Nova Scotia “In an elevator.” “In a cemetery during winter.” “In my childhood bedroom.”
Nunavut “In the bathroom.” “In the great outdoors.”
Ontario “In a canoe. This was a challenge to see if we could actually do it. Barely. Carefully.” “Ice fishing hut.” “Toronto zoo.” “Family washroom at Canada’s Wonderland.” “Penalty box at a hockey arena.” “On a hiking trail in Algonquin Park.” “At a rest stop along the 401 highway.” “On a high-rise condo balcony, overlooking other buildings.”
Prince Edward Island “At a truck tailgate.” “In the ocean.” “Stairwell of an apartment building.”
Quebec “In a funeral home.” “On the lookout balcony of Mont Royal.” “In a sauna.”
Saskatchewan “On a tennis court.” “In a Greyhound bus.” “In a clothing store change room.”
Yukon “In a barn.” “Out in a meadow.” So, there you have it! And that's just the filtered version. Do you think there are any spots we might have missed? Please share in the comments section, below. You can find all this data, plus more results by visiting
