Surgery for two: Little boy undergoes surgery and so does his stuffed wolf
Little Joshua Wade brought his stuffed wolf to the hospital with him on the day of his scheduled surgery. He told the doctor that he needed surgery too and asked her if she could fix the hole in his right leg. His parents said "No, they don't do wolf surgeries here. We'll get him fixed up at home". But when Joshua woke up, he discovered that
Children Hospital Colorado does indeed do wolf surgeries. On his hospital bed, recovering along side him, was his stuffed wolf. His little pal had a fresh set of sutures, a hospital mask and a new bandage. His dad, Kevin, was clearly touched by the doctor's actions. "Joshua spent his initial moments in recovery focusing on his wolf rather than any discomfort from his procedure. It was such a sweet gesture by busy, but caring professionals and I will never forget it. Neither will my little boy." Love this! I think the entire surgical staff deserve a great deal of respect for this wonderful act of kindness.
