My 100 Happy Days challenge: Week 1
Week one of my
#100HappyDays challenge is going pretty well. It helps that it has been a busy, yet fulfilling week. One of the major shifts I've noticed since starting this challenge is that I intentionally look for things that will make me happy.
I look on the brighter side, so to speak. Is the sun shinning? Did a coworker send me
a hilarious pet video? How much did I laugh? Did I get to sleep in? Am I wearing a lighter jacket than my giant winter parka? This week, we experienced some fantastic weather in Toronto, so the blue sky, beautiful sunsets and nature were all sources of inspiration and beauty. Looking for all these things made me
take a few minutes out of each day to focus on life and this beautiful planet, on which we all coexist. There are also a lot of renovations happening around the
Canadian Living offices, so on day 3, I noticed a piece of paper under my chair, and picked it up. The note was something that had clearly been pinned to someone's wall before, and it read, "All we need is love." How fitting and lovely -- it made me smile and wrapped up a pretty stressful Wednesday.
Here's a summary of captions for the first five days of my #100happydays challenge: Day 1. Stunning spring sunset along Toronto's waterfront. #100happydays

Day 3. “All we need is love" note, found on the floor near my office chair. Sweet. #100happydays
