Kate Middleton labour watch: Flashback
Well the coverage is heating up and royal baby watchers everywhere are waiting for Kate Middleton to go into labour. We've got some exciting on-the-ground guest blog posts coming up here on CL Moms so keep watching!
I am glad I'm not the Duchess of Cambridge this week, because I really do not like labour. I've read lots about peaceful deliveries of all flavours, and if you are one of the women who has had one and found it empowering and beautiful, I say that is amazing. For me, labour was something to get through to get to the other side; I had three very different deliveries, some unmedicated and some medicated, all vaginal, and all, from my perspective, unpleasant.
But having my husband support me, meeting my babies...that was something else.
Thinking about royal babies also makes me glad there's no footage of me leaving the hospital, in (maternity) yoga pants or in an outfit like this one:
Even if it is kind of nice to be able to think back to Prince William's birth and ooh and ahh at the cycle of life. And be a little bit sad that we get to watch Prince William become a father, where his mother does not.
What was your labour like?
