How to move to Paris and fall in love
It's that time of year where people dream of finding love...especially love in the most
romantic city in the world. And while we all may dream about it, we never think we'll actually go to Paris and find the perfect love. Except that's exactly what happened to Canadian Janice MacLeod and thankfully she shared her love story in the new book
Paris Letters. Janice's story begins in California, where she works at a job she hates. But instead of just dreaming of quitting her job and traveling, Janice puts her plan into motion. Step one is figuring out how much money she needs to be able to quit her job. Then she gets to work at
saving that much money, I won't tell you how she did it because that's part of the joy of reading the book. Before you know it Janice is off on her European adventure where she falls in love with a butcher. Again I won't tell you how that happens because you need to read the book and truly, I can't do justice to their beautiful love story
—you need to read a firsthand account. But while Janice is in Paris, she realizes if she wants to stay with her love she needs to make some money. And so the
Paris Letters are born. Every month
Janice sends her beautiful watercolor letters to people around the world who
subscribe to them. How magical is it to get a letter from Paris? Well actually in today's age it's magical
to get a letter at all. But I think that's a key part of Janice's story, her connection to the romance of the past and how she's able to bring that romance to present day. And lucky for us she sent me some of her letters to enjoy. Aren't they incredible? They make me want to hop on a plane to Paris and
fall in love. A girl can dream right.
