Easter Basket Cupcakes
Holidays are a fantastic time to bake and craft with little ones, and these
Easter Basket Cupcakes are perfect for the occasion. First you bake, then you craft, and then you eat a yummy treat. It doesn't get much better than that!
First, make the cupcakes. I modified the
Easy Vanilla Cupcakes recipe I found
here. Instead of the vanilla bean, I added an extra 1/2 tsp of vanilla.
After the cupcakes are completely cool, add some frosting, and top with a few mini eggs.
Then, make the baskets. 1) For the base of the baskets, Cut strips of paper 2 inches wide, and long enough to wrap around each cupcake. You will also need strips 1/2 inch wide to make handles for the baskets.
2) Have the kids decorate the strips of paper.
3) Wrap the wide strips of paper around the bases of the cupcakes and tape in place. Then, tape the handles onto the bases. Cute,
right? My boys and their friends had a great time making (and eating) these adorable Easter cupcakes. I hope you have a very Happy Easter with your little bunnies! :-)
