Cute pet video: Dog tries new Neko Nappers pet house
At the
Canadian Living offices, we were recently sent a Neko Nappers pet house for photo shoot consideration. Since I'm incredibly vocal about my love for my miniature pinscher, Bebop, I was the lucky one who got to take home the foldable tufted sleeping space. Naturally, the second I got in the door, I pulled off my coat and began building the house. It took all of two minutes—maybe a little longer because Bebop kept pawing at it and trying to bite it. As soon as the roof was zipped on, though, he crawled right in. I had expected him to like it, because he already has a kennel that he sometimes sleeps in when he's "guarding" the front door, but I was surprised by how many times he went in there on his own last night. I think he likes that it's soft, small and dark. He's about 16 pounds (though quite tall for his weight), so I would say it fits dogs and cats 20 pounds and under. Though Bebop hasn't tried to bite the house since I first built it, I am concerned that he'll try to rip it apart. I think for the first couple weeks I'll keep it out of his reach when I'm not home so I don't come back to a pile of foam. I'm optimistic, though! Watch the video of his first interactions with his new den. Beware, I talk to my dog in a high-pitched voice—but he's just so cute! https://youtu.be/3Lf5_3X-r9o For information on the Neko Nappers Pet House, $70, visit
