Yesterday, while riding the Toronto subway home after a long day at work, I was given a beautiful gift. My subway car had gone to the dogs. Literally. Just look at the photo, below. It turns out, these (mostly suburban) dogs were taking the TTC down to Dundas Square to enjoy a walk through the city to enjoy the sights, sounds and smells of an unfamiliar place (for them, anyway). For me, it was a wonderful treat. The entire atmosphere of the train car was one of lightness and joy. Who knew a dozen happy and festive pooches with friendly demeanours could brighten up a dreary winter night? Image courtesy of Simone Castello
