Black Friday Deals for Travellers to Montreal
Shopaholic's Weekend Deal to Montreal! Last year on
Black Friday/Cyber Monday I landed great deals on my first iPad and a new winter jacket. Nothing to sneeze at. This year I've noticed an increasingly larger number of deals on goods outside the household and clothing departments. I've spotted several discounted travel deals, such as this one offered by
Loews Hotels & Resorts.
Loews Hotels & Resorts is holding a
Big Deal Cyber Weekend Sale, starting on
Friday, November 29, offering discounted four-day hotel stays you can use anytime between November 29, 2013 and April 30, 2014. And that includes the updated
Loews Hotel Vogue Montreal. The promotion launches ahead of the annual Cyber Monday online sales, running from 12:01 am, EST. Friday, November 29 through 3 a.m. EST Tuesday, December 3. So, what are the savings? 1.
Up to 40 percent off Loews Best Rate at Loews Hotel Vogue Montreal. (I like this!) 2.
Free in-room Internet access during length of stay (Okay, I'll share a personal bugaboo: why isn't it free all the time. Wifi is like tap water. Meh.
Note to management: Do not charge for it!) In this case, since they do insist on a fee for wifi, you will save a few more bucks. But still...(grumble, grumble).
The good rooms will likely go fast so check out availability and dates at the
Loews web site. And Montreal is one of my favourite cities any time of year, winter included.
Tourisme Montreal has an excellent (searchable) roster of wintry activities. My personal best bet these days: check out an
urban tour company called Fitz & Folwell Co. It's an exciting young company of energized, hip entrepreneurs that help visitors embrace the chill of Montreal winter in a good way -- by uber cool ski and snow-shoe experiences right in the heart of Montreal, with hot beverages (or a smart martini) to follow. What kind of travel deal are you hoping to land during the Black Friday/Cyber Monday deal-a-rama?
