Another rainy day

[/caption] It feels like it's been raining for days. Everything has been cool, damp and grey. The trouble with having a dog is you have to take them out: rain or shine. But, on the other hand, the good thing about having a dog is that she'll get you out of the house for some fresh air, regardless of the weather. My Scout sure doesn't care if it's raining. She's running around, chasing her ball, jumping in the dirty creek in High Park (then jumping on me!). There are two ways I find solace in this depressing weather. First, I think about all the fields that need a good watering so tasty food can grow. Then, I take advantage of having the excuse to stay inside and do things like: o Read, with a glass of wine o Fool around on the Internet, with a glass of wine o Catch up on horrible TV,
sans guilt (with a glass of wine) o Bake and cook, with a glass of wine o Do chores … sometimes (but if I do, it's also with a glass of wine) Alas, today I won't have the excuse to stay inside. I'm heading to the garden for a compost demo/workshop. Despite the rain I'm looking forward to it, as I haven't the slightest clue about composting. How do you keep yourself busy on a rainy day?
