A super chic suitcase for spring travel
One cannot underestimate the value of a
good suitcase. If you've ever schlepped a bag with broken wheels, a misbehaving handle or a screwy zipper, you'll know that luggage which allows you to travel with ease is a serious godsend and a worthy investment.
- Go for something distinctive. A black suitcase is the standard traveller choice and is not easy to spot.
- Look for one with hard sides. Whether you're travelling with valuables or not, a hard side will protect anything inside from damage that can happen when it's thrown on the conveyer belt and loaded onto the plane.
- Get a bag that has separate compartments. This allows you to compartmentalize your cosmetics (keeping them far away from your clothing) and separate your laundry as you travel.
I'm lusting after the new crème white model from the Rimowa Limbo range (pictured above). Made with an aluminium frame and a polycarbonate body, this piece has a multiwheel system so you can transport your heaviest loads to and fro. Plus, if you're looking for your suitcase on the conveyer belt, it won't blend in amidst a sea of black bags.
