A couple weekend ideas
If you're in Toronto this weekend - and a hockey fan - be sure to make your way down to the CN Tower on Saturday with all your old batteries. Call2Recycle and hockey legend Guy Lafleur are asking Torontonians to bring down their old batteries so they can be properly recycled. Everyone who brings at least one battery will get an autographed photo of Lafleur. Head down to the CN Tower any time between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Pretty exciting if you ask me.
Also, if you're in this neck of the woods don't miss the grand, and much anticipated, opening of Toronto's Evergreen Brick Works, Canada's first community environment centre, on Saturday. Make your way to 550 Bayview Avenue in the morning to experience the farmer's market (I hear the thyme French fries are to die for) and stay to experience the opening ceremonies at 2 p.m.
What are you doing this weekend?
