Another place in paradise opens today: Nayara Springs Resort, Costa Rica Canadian Living reader Margaret MacInally, from Oshawa, Ontario, was the lucky winner of our August contest. She just returned from an amazing trip to the splendour of the Nayara Resort in Arenal, Costa Rica. Coincidentally, today marks the opening of the resort's sister property, a boutique hotel called Nayara Springs. Here are five reasons to put this resort on your list: 1. For starters, it's situated at the base of the must-visit Arenal volcano. 2. The resort has harnessed water from the nearby natural hot springs for the individual plunge pools for each of the 16 villas. 3. The property is 'adult-oriented,' which means the villas, pool and spa are designed for guests 14 years and older. 4. Great care has been taken to protect the rainforest. In fact, the hotel can be reached only via a footbridge. There's no trampling on the previous rainforest vegetation, which is home to many exotic birds and animals. 5.
