Highlights from WE Day Toronto and WE Day Family

Yesterday young people packed Toronto’s Air Canada Centre for something much bigger than a concert or hockey game. They joined celebrities and performers at WE Day, an annual event that brings together young people well as artists, performers and activists from around the world to inspire change in Canada and abroad.

Canadian Living was proud to partner with WE Day for the first WE Day Family event, which took place in the evening. Performers and presenters such as Gord Downie, Margaret Trudeau, Hedley, Chris Hadfield and the Barenaked Ladies moved and inspired young people and their parents to create global change. Canadian Living Editor-in-Chief, Jes Watson, and our Group Publisher, Sandra Martin, spoke to the crowd and presented the ME to WE Awards, recognizing everyday Canadians who are making a difference.

See some of the highlights from the two events, including celebrities and special guests as they made their way down the red carpet.
