Bid on a guitar signed by Chris Hadfield, and other ways to help kids
Here at Canadian Living, we had a
magical time singing along with our May 2015 Guest Editor Chris Hadfield, and now we're inviting you to help us make a musical connection with kids in hospital.
How you can help:
1. Bid on this guitar, signed by Chris Hadfield himself!
Participate in our auction! If yours is the winning bid, not only do you get this signed guitar, you also get the satisfaction of the full amount of your bid being donated to the Music Therapy Program at SickKids Hospital. Click here for all the details. (Auction starts April 7 and closes April 28, 2015.)
This Epiphone 100NACH parlour-size steel-string acoustic guitar was generously provided by
2. Help us give $2,500 to this cause
For every Tweet, Instagram or Facebook post you make using the hashtag #CLHadfield between April 7 and April 28, 2015, Canadian Living will donate $1 to the Music Therapy Program at SickKids Hospital, up to a cap of $2,500. It's really easy to participate! Follow us on Twitter, Instagram or like our Facebook page and get posting.
About the program: The Music Therapy Program at SickKids Hospital is a unique donation-funded program that uses music to promote, maintain and restore psychological, physical, emotional and spiritual health. Since it started in 1999, the program has been helping children, from newborns to 18-year-olds, using singing, song writing, storytelling and playing instruments to help kids heal.
