Nick Wammes started his athletic career path representing Canada at the 2019 Pan American Games, followed by three national titles at the 2019 Canadian Championships." He made his Olympic debut at the Tokyo 2020 games and now with a dream, hard work and an overflow of pride, hopes to once again represent Canada at the Olympic Summer Games 2024.
Five Fun Facts:
➊ Nick was born in London, Ontario and raised in Bothwell, Ontario. A small rural town in southern Ontario, where most everyone farms or plays hockey, except for Nick. At 14 he knew his passion was cycling.
❷ Nick loves photography and cinematography, as well as watching Formula 1 racing, which explains his need for speed.

❸ His career gave him the opportunity to travel to many countries in search of finding his favourite things: the best cup of coffee, the most breathtaking mountains and the coldest of craft beers.
❹ He became interested in cycling during the London 2012 Olympics, as he watched the Canadian women's team win a bronze medal. After seeing that feat, he was determined to try track cycling himself.
❺ His biggest accomplishment by far has been representing Canada at the 2020 Olympic games in Tokyo. We hope to revise that milestone and support him on his path to Paris as he represents Canada in 2024.
