How to wrap an awkwardly-sized gift
So, you've picked the perfect gift for that hard-to-buy-for person on your list. You researched it, sourced it, bought it and brought it home to put under the tree. But, before you can sit back and enjoy the warm glow of soon-to-be Gift Pride, you have to wrap it. [caption id="attachment_12602" align="aligncenter" width="369"]

Hmmm...awkward.
Too big for wrapping paper. Too bulky to fit into a shirt box. Too long even to fit into one of those Santa-size gift bags.
(...Sooo high, you can't go over it, sooo low, you can't go under it, sooo wide, you can't go around it...)
Not to worry. As with many of life's problems, big and small, a little bit of Duck Tape offers a handy solution!
[caption id="attachment_12603" align="aligncenter" width="218"] Emergency Wrapping Supplies[/caption] Since you last raided your dad's old toolbox stash for some, Duck Tape has moved with the times and now comes in almost as many colours and patterns as washi tape (and is about 100 times more useful.) Add to this wonder a pretty dollar store tablecloth and you have all the supplies you need to wrap your unwieldy gift-to-end-all-gifts. Simply lay your present between the sheets (so to speak) of tablecloth and employ your Duck Tape of choice to close! Feeling ambitious? You can even make yourself a Duck Tape blossom to rest like a cherry on top of your enviable offering. Just line a piece of craft paper with strips of Duck Tape. Cut a circular spiral. Wrap the spiral around itself and secure with dots of glue along the way. Add some mini sparkle poms to the middle of your bloom. Leaves? Sure: Use the contrast side to cut leaves and fold them in half to create a crease down the middle and a shape to your leaf.Ta-da!
Your father was right: A little bit of Duck Tape is all you need.
