Whew! This week is flying by, and I am not feeling any more ready for the holidays than I did a month ago. But guess who is not worried? Yep – me. Well, not so's you'd notice, anyway. Last evening, instead of shopping on the internet (useful) or hitting the malls (life-threatening), I sat down with some back issues of Mollie Makes and did some leisurely looking for inspiration. mollie-made1 This year, I'm not doing handmade Christmas gifts, but if I were, there are tons of ideas in these magazines. In Issue Seven, the starched doily mobile from Swoon Studio caught my eye – I have a zillion doilies I don't know what to do with – and led me to check out the website. Lo and behold: a pattern for  Cozy Hand Warmers! These cute little hand-sewn rice-stuffed pillows are made with 3-inch fabric scraps, a little thread and a lot of love. You just pop them in the microwave for about 30 seconds, then toss them in your pockets to keep your fingers toasty on the way to work or school. They're the perfect last-minute stocking-stuffer.
