Excerpted from The Christmas Book: 50 Activities for a Fun-Packed Celebration by Jane Bull (DK Publishing, 2001).
Find a lid or a tray with at least a 1/2 in (1 cm) tall rim and fill it with water. Put your plant decorations into it then drape the ends of a long piece of string in either side they will freeze with the ice and can be used to hang it up. (See the craft)
Tip: Tape the string to the sides of the lid to stop it from moving while it freezes.
