How to make a felt Christmas tree ornament
Here's what you'll need:
-2 colours of green felt
-1 piece of white felt
-Small buttons
-Embroidery floss
-Embroidery needle
-Straight pins
-Very fine ribbon (1/8-inch or 3 mm wide)
-Fabric or white glue
-A small paintbrush

Step 1: Trace and cut out two tall triangle shapes. Set one piece aside.
Step 2: On a second piece of felt trace a slightly larger triangle piece. Cut a small circle from the white felt and set aside.
Step 3: Dab a little glue onto the back of one of the smaller triangles and affix to the larger triangle. Set aside until glue is dry.
Step 4: Thread embroidery floss onto needle. Arrange small buttons onto the triangle (like little tree ornaments) and stitch into place.
Step 5: Pin reserved smaller triangle to the back of the ornament. Stitch along the edges of the smaller triangles to attach all three layers together, leaving a little gap between each stitch for a handmade look. Leave the top point open.
Step 6: Cut a 4-inch (10 cm) piece of ribbon. Fold in half and tuck cut ends in between the open ends of the tree. Stitch to secure. Use a little glue to affix the round white circle to the top to conceal your stitches. Arrange star button on top and stitch down to secure.
