Easy-breezy summer stitch-along: Week 11 (and a question)
Welcome to week eleven of the Easy-Breezy Summer Stitch-Along. A simple craft project can be the perfect accompaniment to a summer road trip, an afternoon in the bleachers at a soccer game, or a relaxing few hours under your favourite tree. This is a low-key stitch-along with a focus on fun, not stressful deadlines! I've been at the cottage this week, where I've been working on turning this...
...plus this...
...into something amazing. I'll let you know how it turned out next week. As the
Easy Breezy Summer Stitch-Along draws to a close (there are only a few weeks left), I've been thinking about what form the stitch-along should take in the fall (September/October). I've thought of some options and I'm interested in your opinions.
- Traditional stitch-along – We choose a pattern to make together, much as we did in the spring. Perhaps a fall accessory such as a new cowl or some fingerless gloves? Ravelry has tons of great ideas.
- Switch-it-up stitch-along – We make something that's not knitted. A simple crochet project, or maybe some patchwork?
- Stitch sessions – This is more of a free-for-all format, similar to what we've done this summer. Everyone chooses their own project, but the Friday stitch-along posts are a place for us to gather, chat, troubleshoot and cheer each other on.
