DIY: embroidered whale bib
Learn how to make this adorable whale-embroidered bib.
Create the whales on this bib using two simple stitches. For a perfect baby shower gift, change the colors to personalize the pattern.
Finished size:
9½" x 8¾" (neck circumference approximately 8¼"–9¾"), No. 25 embroidery floss, DMC 3819, 2 skeins
Materials
Exterior fabric: Linen, blue, 11¾" x 7¾"
Lining fabric: Linen, unbleached, 11¾" x 7¾"
1½" diameter Velcro round (1)
How to Make
1 Transfer the embroidery pattern to the right side of the exterior fabric and the bib pattern to the wrong side. Embroider the pattern then cut the fabric, adding a ½" seam allowance.
2 Cut the lining fabric in the same way as the exterior fabric, then assemble it with the exterior fabric from step 1, right sides together. Sew together, leaving a 2" opening for turning out.

3 Trim the seam allowances, leaving ¼". Add a beautiful finish to the curve by clipping along the curve on the seam allowance.
4 Turn right side out and reshape, then whipstitch the opening.
5 Sew on the Velcro.

[B] Sew the soft side onto the lining fabric (right side)
