Calm cowl crochet-along: Week 5
Hello, crocheters! I saw my first Calm Cowl "in the wild" last weekend – my Aunt Cathie brought hers to Thanksgiving dinner and it looks great. Apparently she and several of her workmates are making them, so I hope they'll take a group photo for us! I'm delighted to see that pictures of finished projects are starting to roll in. In addition to DonnaMH, who finished her first cowl in Week 3 (so fast!), we've also seen finished cowls from.... Kaeleigh (she alternated colours so she'd have enough for matching hat and mitts):
And GoldieLew, whose cowl looks soft and inviting:
And Ribbet39, who's oh-so-close to being finished:
I'm midway through the third of four balls of yarn:
I keep trying it on (one of the bonuses of crochet!) and it's WARM. Maybe I'll use the fourth for a pair of matching wrist warmers instead of a wider cowl. We'll see how things stand in an inch or two. I'd like to feature all of the participants in next week's round-up post, so if you signed up, I hope you'll submit a photo in the comments! How's your crochet project coming along? Do let us know!
