We’re barely through the first real hit of winter and I’m already thinking about how, come spring, my plants will need a serious update—at least when it comes to their pots. I love this simply mixed media plant stand which is a nice update to the clay pots I’ve been using. —Alexandra Donaldson, fashion & beauty editor
Modern plant stand, $61, etsy.com/HookAndStemCo.

This year more than any other, eco-friendly practices seem to be on everyone's mind. I typically make my coffee at home (thanks, Nespresso!), but for the occasions I head out to my local coffee shop, I'm investing in this chic traveller cup, designed by my sister, to avoid disposable coffee cups. —Renée Reardin, senior digital editor
The Tumblers, Wild Thing, $65 USD, jamieleereardin.com.

I never thought I could feel happy looking at a rolling pin, but alas, here we are. This colourful and bright pattern almost makes me want to just display this kitchen tool—but then I remember how much I love homemade pasta and get back to rolling out dough. —AD

You can never have too many baskets. In February my (annual) NYE resolution of getting more organized is still going strong and baskets always come in handy. This woven beauty would be great all over the house—in a kid’s room collecting toys, the living room full of extra throw blankets or the mudroom collecting hats and gloves. —ML
Storage Basket, $40, hm.com.

February is still a sloppy and cold time of the year. Treat yourself to a whimsical welcome every time you come in your door. Plus it’s made of natural coir and has a rubber backing so it can take a good beating from the outside. —ML

I’ve been looking for an affordable way to update my dinnerware (which, truth be told, I inherited from my parents when I moved out over a decade ago). The time has come to pick something out for myself. While you can never go wrong with a classic white set, I love the unexpectedness of heading to the sark side. And with 18 pieces for well under $50, what’s not to love? —AD
This year, I'm making a real effort to swap out my household cleaning products for more sustainable and eco-friendly alternatives. I've started with my laundry detergent and have been using Mrs. Meyers liquid laundry soap. Its ingredients are 97% naturally derived and one bottle is good enough for 64 loads. Plus, my clothes have never smelt better! —LC
Mrs. Meyers Clean Day Concentrated Liquid Laundry Soap - Lavender, $22, well.ca.

I really love my—and so it should come as no surprise I like having Toronto-themed accessories, like this coat hook from umbra. The design mimics the map of Toronto's subway system complete with the appropriate colours and has 10 "stops" to hold your coats, hats and other outerwear. —MB
