The most realistic artificial Christmas tree
Artificial Christmas trees -- or
faux firs, as I've taken to calling them -- get more realistic-looking every year. I was recently blown away by this new model from
Canadian Tire:

Measuring in at a soaring 12-feet, Noma's pre-lit Self-Shaping Pine tree is easily the most lifelike artificial tree I've come across this season. Of course, that realism comes with the fairly hefty price tag of $750; but you've got to amortize that over the number of Christmases you'll be able to wheel this baby out.
Here's a detail of the lowermost of the tree's 3,800 tips (always a nice measure of how full a tree looks), not to mention the 1,500 clear incandescent lights. Oh, and the herringbone floor is pretty stunning too. ;)
