Collaborating on a product line can be a lot of hard work, but it's also incredibly satisfying. Imagine being able to see your original design progress from that first spark of inspiration, through the various stages of development, and ultimately, into the homes of Canadians from coast to coast. Back in the day in  Style at Home magazine's Design Department, I had the pleasure of contributing to the development of the brand's first curated colour collection for Beauti-Tone Paint. It was an amazing learning experience—and an incredibly exciting one, in that it was our opportunity to narrow down the often overwhelming colour options at the paint store into a handful of no-fail (and practical!) palettes. You can still find those colours through Beauti-Tone Paint, but they're no longer the only Style at Home merch on the market. In fact, earlier this month, Style at Home launched a major home decor collection at Sears: 400 affordably-priced products, ranging from bedding, to towels, to drapery.
