Me and the lovely Marilyn Denis!

Not only is it a sound investment (whether you're planning on staying or selling your home!), but it's also a trend-proof blank canvas that you can take in any design direction with a bit of counterscaping. Counterscaping is all about building from that blank canvas of your kitchen island and countertops with a few well-chosen statement pieces—and nothing makes a statement like vivid colour. On my latest segment for CTV's The Marilyn Denis Show, I shared three counterscaping vignettes that pulled together the best (and brightest!) kitchen accessories in foliage green, lemon yellow and cobalt blue. What's more, knowing how intimidating colour can be, each colour is represented at high-commitment, low-commitment, and even no-commitment price points. (And yes, there's even a bit of grocery store decor!) Click here to watch the segment! Follow me on Twitter!
