This Is What Happens If You Eat Watermelon Every Day
We love a slice or two on a hot summer day!
Watermelon can be eaten at every meal: in smoothies, in a salad, as a side. With its fresh sweet and delicious taste, we never get tired of it.
The fruit is rich in water, vitamin B and C, beta-carotene, minerals, fibre and antioxidants. It helps maintain optimal hydration, acts on heart health, the immune system, weight loss and digestion. However, is it a good idea to eat watermelon every day?
Here's What Happened After Eating Watermelon Every Day For A Week
After a week of eating watermelon at every meal, Charlotte Hilton Andersen noticed changes in her body.
First, watermelon helps eliminate toxins thanks to the increase in hydration levels, which means more trips to the bathroom. It's also an anti-inflammatory fruit—it can help relieve certain ailments and reduce pain in joints.
However, don't make watermelon your summer staple. If you have digestive problems or a sensitive gut, it can create an upset stomach and distress. If you have recurring migraines or diabetes, too much watermelon can be a problem. The fruit is very sweet and can cause blood sugar to rise. Instead, stick to watermelon as a side to sources of protein and fat.
