The 5 characteristics of a humble person
This trait is said to be a common asset found in people known for their above-average intelligence.
Intelligence is a skill that society places a great deal of importance on. A lack of knowledge or intellectual ability is frequently singled out for criticism.
The result? Many people seek to develop their intelligence, find it in those around them, and give it a central place in their educational and professional development.
What influences the intelligence quotient (IQ)? What type of person has a higher IQ? A study by Elizabeth Krumrei Mancuso, an American psychology researcher, has shown that intelligence is closely linked to a specific character trait: humility.
Humility: a trait found in intelligent people
According to the same study, the smarter a person is, the more humble they are. To continue learning, an individual must have the humility to recognize that there will always be new things to learn.
Here are 5 characteristics of a humble person:
1. THE ARE SELF-AWARE
A humble person is authentic and sincere with their words. They live in accordance with their values and accept who they are, with their weaknesses, strengths, and imperfections.
Self-awareness manifests in the way this person interacts with others: they don’t hijack conversations or try to put themselves first. For them, their own opinion and perception is the only one that matters as a measure of their worth.
2. THEY ASK FOR ADVICE AND ASKS QUESTIONS, WITHOUT CLAIMING TO KNOW EVERYTHING
A humble person is able to recognize when external resources are needed to achieve a goal. Whether it's asking questions or admitting ignorance on certain subjects, they don't hesitate to take the initiative to shed light on grey areas and broaden their knowledge.

3. THEY ARE NOT AFRAID TO ADMIT THEIR MISTAKES
A quality that distinguishes a humble person: their ability to recognize their mistakes, take responsibility for their actions and accept the consequences. They don't blame others, they don't lie, and they see these situations as real opportunities for growth and learning.
4. THEY HAVE PRECISE KNOWLEDGE OF A VARIETY OF SUBJECTS
Less humble people don't master the knowledge they display, whereas a humble person has more than one trick up their sleeve, without trying to show it off at all costs.
5. THEY ARE GREAT LISTENERS
A humble person has a sympathetic ear for different beliefs and differences of opinion. They sincerely wish others well.
