3 simple moves to tone your abs, arms and glutes
Nike master trainer Eva Redpath shares a combination of three simple micromoves that wake up the muscles in your core, bum and arms.
Do you have an action-packed August? Carving out even a small amount of time for this full-body workout will have you looking and feeling your very best.
1. TWIST AND HOLD

Start Here: Sit on the floor with your legs together and straight out in front of you.
- Bringing your hands behind your head, brace your core, then lean back 45 degrees.
- Twist your torso to the right, holding for three to five seconds, then twist to the left, holding for three to five seconds. Repeat.
2. LATERAL LEG RAISE

Start here: Lie on your left side with legs extended, your head resting on your outstretched left arm and your right palm on the floor in front of your chest.
- Keeping your hips in line and your right knee and toes angled downward, lift your right leg to hip height, then lower it back down. Complete the reps with your right leg before switching to your left leg.
3. MODIFIED PUSHUP AND HOLD

Start here: Begin in a kneeling position with your palms on the floor shoulder-width apart and your shoulders in line with your hands.
- Bend at the elbows to lower your chest toward the floor, keeping your elbows tight to your sides.
- Hold for three to five seconds.
- Push up. Repeat.
