What to Order at McDonald's According to a Nutritionist
No matter how hard we try to eat well, most of us occasionally crave a meal at McDonald's.
This fast-food chain is not known for its nutritional and healthy dishes, to say the least!
Are there still burgers that are a better nutritional option than others on the menu? Yes, according to a nutritionist!
Burgers, fries, ice cream, milkshakes - everything at Mickey-D's makes us want to order a meal, but obviously, some choices are better than others when trying to reduce your calorie intake.
Nutritionist Ashley Reece recommends going for a single cheeseburger, which has 298 calories and 16g of protein, or maybe choose the double cheeseburger, which has 438 calories and 26g of protein for your McDonald's fix.
For a meatless choice, she recommends choosing the fish burger (the Filet-O-Fish ), since it contains 14g of protein in addition to potassium.
As for side dishes, such as crispy fries and ice cream, well, those are not recommended to maintain a balanced meal. Yet, the worst enemy for your balanced meal would be sauces and milkshakes, which would explode the calorie counter.
It is important to note that the perfect meal does not exist, what is important is to eat intuitively and to treat yourself from time to time!
