Below are some great articles I've come across in the past week and wanted to share them with my fellow health enthusiasts.

Leslie Beck's
Get'em to the Greek over at The Globe and Mail is a must read. It's an examination of why the Mediterranean diet is so darn good for us. The presence of fruits, veggies, nuts, grains and olive oil are just a few reasons. Including more Mediterranean dishes in your diet could help reduce the risk of certain cancers, cardiovascular-related illnesses and obesity.
Click on over to find out more, and learn how you can make the switch to a Mediterranean diet. •
A blog post over at Weight Matters outlines the flaws with the Health Check program, making you extra cautious when reading food labels. • One of my fave things about Jen Melo's
I Will Eat Better Diary is her Serving Size Saturdays, where she portions out the recommended serving size of a certain food.
Check them out here.
Healthy recipe: • I've been reading Angela Liddon over at
Oh She Glows for a while now. I've finally got around to testing out her vegan overnight oats. It's the easiest breakfast ever, is super-filling and healthy, and tastes delicious! It was a huge hit with my boyfriend too.
Take a look at today's post for her newest take on vegan overnight oats (or VOO, as she refers to them), or
check out her recipe section for some other tasty VOO options. I will most certainly be enjoying these for breaky tomorrow.
