On May 18, I asked you to share your favourite healthy recipes with us for a chance to win one of three copies of
The French Women Don't Get Fat Cookbook by Mireille Guiliano. Congratulations to our three lucky winners! Kay says:
"My favourite healthy recipe is a stir-fry of spinach or arugula (lots in our garden right now). Experimenting with recipes, I found it to be a little bitter, like rapini, but mixed up with peppers, onions, mushrooms (or any veggies) in a little olive oil (good fat) and topped off with goat cheese with cranberries or blueberries, it is totally decadent-tasting and delicious. If you need protein, top it off with chicken breast or some egg white (hardboiled). Hardly any calories and truly healthy. Amazing!" Conni says:
"Well, I've got to say that my favorite go-to quick boost of nutrition comes from a smoothie. I use a banana, yogurt, blueberries, cranberries and some lemon or orange essence. Soooo delicious, refreshing, filling and healthy. Try it! Regardless of how healthy I eat, I still have about 20 pounds to lose. I'd love to try the ideas in "French Women" to shed these pounds." Hilary says:
"I love making whole wheat pasta, either roasting or stir-frying a lot of veggies, then making an easy homemade tomato sauce with canned tomatoes, garlic, chili flakes and a touch of oil, salt and pepper, then stirring it all together. Yum!"
